A Journey to Organization
Bullet Journaling A Journey to Organization
2
What is a Bullet Journal?
3
A bullet journal is good for people who…
- have a million to-do lists floating around - like pen and paper lists - need to set goals and track habits - like paper, scrapbooking, beautiful pens, etc. - love planners - want to love planners, or want to be more organized

My Lists Organized, perhaps, but kind of a blot on my kitchen counter. Plus, I have a diary upstairs, and more lists on my computer.
6
What You Need A Notebook A pen (or 20 pens!) A Ruler
Other stuff is nice but not required.
7
The Notebook If you want to carry it around, make sure it will fit in the type of bag you usually carry. Some people like lines, some blank pages, some graph paper, some ‘dots’ that can be turned into lines or covered by writing, doodling, etc. Number the pages Popular Science is on board:

Dot Grids Pricey but that’s what the pros use.
12
Pens Blue or Black? Color?
What ever you want! But beware of bleed-through.

The Basic Elements Bullet journal: a method of journaling and note- taking that uses bullet points as the core structure Index: a table of contents that you update as you go Rapid Logging: symbols that help you get stuff done Daily Log: what you did and/or need to do today (+ other observations) Monthly Log: traditional month calendar + what you need to do that month + what you forgot to do last month Future Log: year-at-a-glance calendar where you can put events, goals, and long-term stuff you need to do

The Index The element that makes the whole system work and is the crucial part of the process. Turns random lists into an organizational tool. I suggest labeling at least 4 pages at the front of the journal as “Index 1 – 4”

Label the next spread as “Rapid Logging Symbols” Enter them in the Index
24
Future Log Label next two page spreads as future log (add to index)
