During Harding’s administration, big business was being favored by the government.
Andrew Mellon- A banker who was named Secretary of the Treasury.
Teapot Dome scandal- The Secretary of the Interior Albert Fall took bribes to transfer control of oil reserves from the United States Navy to private oilmen.

Warren Harding suffered a heart attack and died on August 2nd 1923
Calvin Coolidge was made president after the death of Harding.
Coolidge was also a supporter of big business.
Used legislation to achieve social change.
Reduced the national debt, and lowered taxes to give incentives to big businesses.
Did nothing for farmers, racial discrimination and low wages.
