Our roles & responsibilities
Accountability (Internal & External)
4
Dad:pmi roles and responsibilities
We are collectively responsible for implementing priority action steps of the District Strategic Plan involving assessment and progress monitoring. We will use our whole team for input and feedback as we develop products required by action steps. Each member of the team will need to provide information about the work of DAD:PMI to their relevant stakeholder groups and gather input and feedback from these groups to inform the work. On a regular basis we will submit our work products to Superintendents Action Team (SAT) and Project Parkway Assessment Advisory for input, feedback, and necessary support for implementation. Dad:pmi goals (csip action steps)
Improve the quality of local assessments as aligned with Mission and relevant external standards Research and implement improved grading practices that provide feedback that clearly communicates student performance related to course goals, standards, and Mission-related outcomes. Increase parent involvement and communication regarding assessment and assessment results. Ensure instruction and assessment practices are aligned with Parkway’s Learning Principles and support the development of capable, curious, and confident learners. Create inter-disciplinary cornerstone assessment program that increases student expectations for cross content performance and transfer. Improve alignment of district curriculum and assessment to state standards (including Missouri’s Process Standards and the Common core State Standards.)
6
Dad:pmi goals (csip action steps)
Establish benchmark assessments in all content areas that are aligned with state and national standards. Explore and implement local assessments and assessment practices that measure and monitor curiosity and creativity (including pre, post, self-assessment, portfolios, rubrics, and assessment of critical questioning.) Monitor student performance data across target areas of growth for all students, and take action to improve student performance. Identify and define district structures to support Progress Monitoring, including a District Leadership team and roles and responsibilities for administrators. Develop and complete district-level needs assessment related to Progress Monitoring.

Logistics and Work Team leader
We expect to convene Work Teams a minimum of one hour but ideally an hour and a half within each DAD:PMI Meeting. The Work Team Leader ensures facilitation of the work necessary to achieve the stated team goals. Facilitation and other team roles can be delegated. Remember team goals are derived directly from the District Strategic Plan priority measurable objectives and action steps. While some planning is certainly necessary for the Team Leader and others, you are not responsible for creating an agenda (but if this helps organize your work, feel free to do so!). Needed resources will be provided, including work materials and some research or text resources (within a modest budget). To accomplish the work, there will undoubtedly be assignments to be accomplished by your work team beyond and between meeting times. These assignments/action items need to be provided to Ann Wills so they can be posted in our DAD:PMI minutes.
16
Grounding Activity Reflecting on the bridge metaphor from our first meeting (4 min.): Collectively decide on a pictorial representation of what your work team contributes to the Parkway Bridge to Mission-Vision Draw this “Bridge” representation on chart paper at table, include downstream in your picture Individually think of a student who reminds you of why you wanted to become an educator. (1 min.) This is whatever story resonates with you personally (success, high achieving, struggling learner, struggling socially-emotionally, young leader, etc.) Can be a current student or any student from the past On post-it notes, write a few key descriptors of this student and their needs (2 min.) In a round-robin fashion (10 min): State your name and position Share descriptors of student and how they remind you (I min. or less) Place post-it on picture that represents where this student was when you first met them

work plan categories Research Base and/or Data Collection
Evidence-base foundation to assist with decision making and provide rationale for actions Terms and Definitions Seems simple, but if not discussed and agreed upon early in process it can create obstacles. Different vocabulary or multiple meanings for some words and terms can create opportunities for misunderstanding and confusion. Key for clearly communicating to stakeholder groups. Conceptual Framework What is the shared model for our thinking and work? Communication, Feedback, Input Include time lines for “draft” product and stakeholder feedback and input for “finished” product Implementation What supports and resources will be necessary to move from product to practice? Other? We are sure there are lots of “other” categories that we have not thought of…
