111 *6 For Care Home Staff Calls to this number are routed to an NHS 111 Clinical Advisor

NHS 111 *6 When *6 is selected by the caller it will be routed directly through to a Clinical Advisor who will collect demographic information then; Progress the case as per NHS Pathways with the Carer who will be utilising the ‘Care Escalation Record’ then referring the patient to the most appropriate service shown within the Directory of Services.

NHS 111 *6 If not answered within 30 seconds the call will route through to a Call Advisor where demographic information will be taken ‘life threatening’ symptoms will be ruled out, the reason for call will be documented as *6 and the call will be transferred through to an available Clinical Advisor
