Currently, multicast frames are queued in the AP until after the next beacon (or beacon with DTIM)
BUT: Some protocols / applications require frequent transmission of multicast frames to non-power saving STAs where it is inappropriate to shorten the beacon interval. (e.g: synchronization frames)

Currently, the usage of the ToDS field in multicast frames is unclear ( and ).
In (1999), the ToDS field could not be set to zero for multicast frames in a BSS.
Proposal: Explicitly allow the transmission of multicast frames with the ToDS field set to zero.

MoreData field in multicast
Currently, the MoreData field in multicast frames sent by an AP is zero if no more multicast frames are to be expected in the same beacon interval.
Proposal: For nonzero TID values in downstream multicast frames, the meaning of the MoreData field should be identical with its meaning for unicast frames (editorial clarification needed as a consequence of the modified queuing).
