Webster-Haynes Debate
Summary Robert Hayne- wanted states to be able to nullify federal laws. Daniel Webster- accused Hayne of having motives to strengthen the south. Started due to the events of the nullification crisis Debate ended after Webster delivered his “second reply to Hayne” and concluded with the ringing appeal “ liberty and union, now and forever, one and inseparable.
