Jovian Planets By Olivia, Mercedes & Sukhman 10D

2 Jovian Planets Jovian planets are gas giants, consisting of mostly hydrogen and helium. Jovian planets are larger than terrestrial planets and all jovian planets have rings and a large amount of moons. Saturn, Jupiter, Uranus and Neptune are all jovian planets.

3 Neptune Similar to the size of Uranus.
Giant storm centers can be seen on its visible surface. Surface area of 7,618,272,763 km² Neptune has 13 moons. Diameter of 49,500km. Fastest winds in the whole solar system, 2,000km. 4 Earths can fit in Neptune.

4 Saturn Surface area of 61,418,738,571 km² Diameter of 116, 464km.
Average temperature is -144 degrees. Winds over 1600km. Powerful storms including lightening that is 10,000x more powerful than Earth. 833 Earths can fit in Saturn. Saturn has 62 moons.

5 Jupiter Surface area of 61,418,738,571 km². Diameter of 139,822 km.
Average temperature of 725 degrees. Jupiter has 63 moons. Jupiter is the largest planet in the solar system. 1,300 Earths could fit inside of Jupiter. The Great Red Spot is an on-going storm on Jupiter.

6 Uranus Surface area of 8,083,079,690 km². Diameter of 50,724 km.
Uranus has 27 moons. Uranus’ moons are named after Shakespeare characters. 63 Earths could fit inside of Uranus. Uranus was discovered on March 13, 1781.
