Specific Heat The amount of heat required to raise the temperature of 1g of a substance by 1ºC Base unit Kcal/kgㆍ℃ Specific heat formula C=Q/M△T The meaning of Specifit Heat If material has large specific heat, the more heat is needed to raise the temperature, so it is difficult to change the temperature. On the other hand has small specific heat, it is easy to change the temperature.
