Approval to attend required – Local for most conferences (see next slide)
SF-182 completion to authorize payment
Purchase Card payment by activity cardholder
On-Site Conference Fees
For previously unknown fees to be paid on-site
Travel Card payment authorized

Non-DoD Conference Attendance Approval
Under $100K, NPS President Now Approves
No longer have to wait to submit to Navy or wait for their approval – faster approval and early requests processed without delay
Early approval will allow attendees to have fees paid sooner to take advantage of “early-bird” or time-limited registration
No longer a need to pay out-of-pocket up front with local conference approval
No longer wait for reimbursement of fees personally paid

Attendee receives NPS President approval to attend non-DOD conference
Submit SF-182 for approval through Chair & Dean
Forward SF-182 to purchase cardholder
Cardholder pays advance fee to Conference Registration
Last Resort Option
Attendee pays fee out-of-pocket only due to unusual circumstances – requires Chair & Dean Approval
On-site Payment
Upon arrival at conference – Any unknown fees may be paid with travel card and claimed on voucher when return
