3 Lead Teacher Stipend Envelope Process
Dual Language Program & ESL-Only Lead Teacher Stipend Envelope Process NOTES: Let LTs know that for the first part of the meeting, each specialist will be meeting with their group to go over the following process:

4 DLP and ESL-Only LT Stipend Process
Check that all designated DLP & ESL teachers on your campus received a stipend envelope per your staff roster and CAD Check that the teacher’s assignment is correct on the stipend envelope. Complete a stipend discrepancy form if needed and return to your specialist.

4. Make notes on the CAD of any questions you may have for your principal. 5. If all is correct, sign and return the CAD to your Specialist. 6. Return any envelopes of teachers no longer on your campus with the Discrepancy form. We will reconvene in 30 min. NOTES: SAY: If you have teacher on your campus that have not been on your campus all year, please let your specialist know. Give this time about 30 min. to complete. Let LTs know that when the timer goes off, it will be time to reconvene.

7 Remind Teachers to… Follow the instructions on the form.
Make sure you have all the items required. Return a copy of the PL history or a copy of the pink slips if needed. Envelopes CANNOT be sent through the district mail. Envelopes must be dropped off in person to the department. Bilingual Dept. address: 100 N. University Dr. NE 232; Fort Worth, 76107 NOTES: It’s very important that teachers follow the application instructions and complete with the correct information. If they have questions, have them contact their campus specialist if you are not able to help the. Envelopes will be put on the “Pending” list until all documentations have been submitted. Teachers will receive an from their specialist if there is something missing. If teachers do not respond, the stipend envelope will remain on the list and the stipend will not be approved. No stipends envelopes will be approved without all required documentations and signatures. No partial PL stipend will be given for number of hours of PL attendance. Bilingual teachers must complete 12 hrs. of PL session and ESL must complete 6 hrs. of PL session in order to qualify for the stipend. Tell teachers they are to make a copy of their PL History for their records and submit the copy along with any copies of the sessions missing on it in their envelope. You as a LT can offer to bring them to the office, but designate date when you will be coming and let your teachers know. It is not your responsibility to deliver the stipend envelopes to our office, but you can offer to bring others when you come to bring yours. After that, teachers must make the trip themselves. (Unless specialist have stipend receipts with them, they cannot deliver the envelopes to the office.) Give out address for those new teachers that have never been to the Ad. Bldg.

8 Remind Teachers to… March 19th – April 12th will get paid in May.
Please make sure you READ the entire form and envelope (front and back) and complete all required information. Deadlines: March 19th – April 12th will get paid in May. April 13th – May 7th will get paid in June Stipend envelopes will not be accepted after the May 7th deadline.

9 DLP Teacher Summer School Information
NOTES: For following information is what LTs will be sharing with their campus DLP teachers. Say: Our SS is a federal required program for students currently in PK and K and will be in K and 1st next school year. It not a remedial program, it is an enrichment program.

10 DLP Summer School When: June 4th – July 3rd Teachers’ time:
June 4th-June 28th 7:30 a.m.- 3:45 p.m. July 2nd-July 3rd 7:30 a.m.- 3:00 p.m. Students’ time: June 4th-June 28th 8:00 a.m.- 3:15 p.m. July 2nd-July 3rd 8:00 a.m.- 2:30 p.m. NOTES: If no snow days are used these will be the dates. If we do use a snow day or both, the dates will be changed. These dates & times are if no snow days are used. Remind teachers that our program is a federal program that requires us to have 120 hrs. of instruction; therefore, we have to have these long days in order to finish summer school before July 4th. If we go longer, we will not have the attendance needed. Most students leave for the summer break as do our teachers. Teachers will have 30 min. planning after school. THIS IS NEW…. We will only have one host campus this year. It will be Western Hills Primary on the west side of town. Parents will have to provide transportation for their child/children. The parent meeting will be at Western Hills Primary on three different dates to give parents time to meet. Location: Western Hills Primary School

April 16, 2018 Time: 5:00p.m.-6:30p.m. Location: Western Hills Primary cafe. Parent Informational Meetings: Dates: April 2, 2018 April 7, 2018 Teachers: Those that want to teach our program must apply online. Teachers must hold an early childhood certification. Pay is $25 an hour Must be committed to the full 18 days Teacher Training: Date: May 24, 2018 Time: 4:00p.m.-7:00p.m. Location: PDC rm.231 Teachers: We are requesting that the PK-K teachers send out the applications to their students’ parents. As they return them add the date and time on them. them to your campus Specialist as they come in. NOTES: The parent meetings will be held at Western Hills Primary on three different dates to give parents opportunities to attend. Having the meetings at WHP will give the parents to opportunity to visit the location and become familiar with its location. Teacher that want to teach in our program will need to apply online for it. We will then contact them with the interview dates and time. Teachers that do apply must hold an early childhood certification. Teachers get paid $23 an hour, which will equal to $ for the 18 days of summer school. Good little bonus! Teachers that apply must be committed to the full 18 days of instruction. We will also need subs. just in case one of our teachers gets sick. Teacher training will be on May 24, 2018 at the PDC in room 231. Please advice teachers to bring a cart to haul their materials to their car.
