2. Data Component Scoping meeting
Thursday 15th March 2018 – Open to all!
Objective is to discuss how the GFOI can streamline the support provided to identify, access and implement data and tools in their work flow to meet the needs for the MRV of greenhouse gases from REDD+ activities
Topics of discussion will include:
Availability -> Accessibility -> Usability
Implementation, maintenance and update issues
Training and sustainability of national capacity
Obstacles and opportunities to adopt new technologies

The hands-on session will allow countries to nominate the various tools, datasets, methods or other processes that are used during the different phases of your MRV system..

4. Integration with other Components
The Data Component will link heavily to the tools and systems developed by R&D, referenced by the MGD and provided to countries by Capacity Building partners.
Introduce CALM – a framework to outline the process for the assessment of new resources (R&D Coordination Component)
REDDcompass – Role in for defining the products required as well as making guidance & training material available (MGD Component)
How are tools, resources and training manuals provided to REDD+ countries to better coordinate the delivery of information for all countries? (Capacity Building Component)
