GQ#2 - How did emancipation impact the war?
What about Lincoln and/or the process toward emancipation did you find most interesting in these documents? Or most challenging? How did emancipation impact the Civil War? How good of a judge was Abraham Lincoln in determining when and how to seek emancipation of the slaves? When is the right time to do what is right? Why is change so difficult – even when it is right? Did the Emancipation Proclamation end or intensify conflict?
