2 Role on the Wall Draw around a child. Write things that the children know about the a character from the play around the outside of the figure, perhaps adding textual evidence to support their findings. On the inside of the figure, write the feelings and emotions of the character at a given point in the story.

4 Role on the Wall Josip He misses his mother and father. In his dream he sayd he is looking for them. friendly He doesn’t know what the future holds. He doesn’t know if the Emperor's men will take him. He doesn’t want to go home because ehe is afraid. He says to Mr Miah, “I no go back.” anxious Interested He would like Anna to like him – he tries to make conversation with her. Polite angry He is a boy who could have come from many dangerous places He says, “I am a boy from nowhere.” He feels welcomed into no. 15 by Mr Miah., and later by Grandma Mr Miah says, “It is my job to look after you.”

6 Biographies and Autobiographies
Using what you know about the characters from the play, create a time line to plan significant life events in chronological order. You could write in the first person and produce an autobiography. Any character could be written about and additional fictional information could be included.
