Our approach/experience with this workshop
Starting with a top-down versus bottom-up approach Strategic focus with our workshops – Biggs, J. “Constructive alignment in university teaching”, HERDSA Review of Higher Education, Vol. 1, pp. 5 – 22 Workshop structure Day 1 – Key topics Day 2 – Key topics Day 3 – Key topics Total time – 8 min Bob – 1 – 1 min in the SAF we started with identifying PLLO being mindful of our profession’s competencies wanting all faculty to take, offering 2 – 3 hr sessions over 3 days in every term, on-line set-up/support Scott - 2 – 1 min 2 or 3 key points from the Biggs article Scott – 3 – 2 min for each of Day 1 and 2 (using V 4 of the workshop) brief description of focus for the day including key topics Bob – 3 – 2 min for Day 3 brief description (using V4 of the workshop)

Revisit your considerations/issues What is/are your takeaways? Bob – 5 min go back to the points identified earlier and speaking to the one’s dealt with/not dealt with in our workshop give them 1 min on their own and then asking if anyone wants to share, including questions
