On April 1, 1940 the Stingray went on its first patrol run near the Hawaii area
On October 23rd it was fitted with 4 V16, Diesel Engines

4. World war history
The Stingray Terminated her first war patrol at Manila on December 24th
She torpedoed the Harbin Maru on December 30th, The Harbin Maru sank 1:26 minuets later.
The Stingray fired 3 torpedoes on may 2nd at a Japanese destroyer, all were misses
On June 28th 1944 The stingray sank 3 ships with four torpedoes

The Stingray was struck on November 1st, 1945

The Stingray was sold for scrap on January 6th, 1947
