6. Workshop structure
Mini-lesson - direct teaching of skills for 10 minutes.  Skills grow out of analysis of student work.
Work Time- Approximately 20 minutes while teachers confer with students or meet with guided reading or strategy groups.
Share - restatement of teaching point or sharing of work between peers or as a full class.  

7. Homework
Extension and reinforcement of mini- lessons and leads to success with quizzes, tests, writing process pieces, and projects
Written everyday in agenda pads
Absences -Students have as many days as they are absent to make up any missed work

8. Grading Habits of Mind – 10% Independent Practice – 20%
