1 Adding Programmable Delay
LP - VRS Applications

2 Detectors to Programmable Delay Supervisors
Add capacitor at each output to extend the delay May require buffer depending on desired voltage threshold & output slew rate Delay set by time required for output signal to charge capacitor to desired voltage threshold Delay extends only for rising edge (returning from /RESET condition) Delay for falling edge (/RESET assertion) remains unchanged

3 Operation without Delay

4 Operation with Delay: Example 1 (rising edge)
0.033uF in parallel with 47uF, the /RESET hits 200ms on the rising edge at about 1V MCU or device connected to the /RESET would expect 1V to be the voltage signifying the device is no longer in the reset condition

5 Operation with Delay: Example 2 (rising edge)
0.033uF in parallel with 10uF, the RESET hits 200ms on the rising edge at about 2.8V MCU or device connected to the /RESET would expect 2.8V to be the voltage signifying the device is no longer in the reset condition

6 Operation with Delay: ALL examples (falling edge)
Falling edge remains unchanged Delay capacitors have no impact on falling edge Device will go into reset condition as normal Delay only observed when returning from a reset condition
