ABOUT THE JOURNAL The ASEAN Journal of Open and Distance Learning or AJODL (ISSN: ) is an open access journal indexed in the ASEAN Citation Index. It is also indexed in the Malaysian Citation Index and the Thai Citation Index. AJODL provides a platform for the exchange and dissemination of scholarly ideas, research findings and insights in the field of Open and Distance Learning (ODL) in the ASEAN region. The journal, launched on 12 August 2009, is an outcome a collaborative effort between Open University Malaysia (OUM), Sukhothai Thammathirat Open University (STOU) and University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU). Professor Zoraini Wati Abas from OUM was the first AJODL Chief Editor. In 2015, Hanoi Open University (HOU) and Indonesia Open University (known as Universitas Terbuka Indonesia or UT) joined the collaboration. Subsequently, the online journal issues are published under the Editor-in-Chief, a position that is rotated among the journal's Publication Committee Chairpersons. The editorial members consist of academics from all five universities.

INVITATION / CALL FOR PAPERS
The ASEAN Journal of Open and Distance Learning (AJODL) is a double-blind peer-reviewed online journal. The journal is published online every June and December. It features research findings and theoretical discussions on a wide range of ODL-related subjects such as e-learning, mobile learning, information and communication technology for ODL, learning management system, ODL pedagogy, instructional design, content development, innovative teaching, learning strategies, assessment, learning behaviour, cognitive science, lifelong learning, quality management, best practices, education policies, ASEAN studies, leadership and other areas. The online submission can be done throughout the year through the following link: The manuscript submitted must be original, previously unpublished, and not under consideration for publication in any other format elsewhere. REVIEW PROCESS All articles are reviewed by at least two external reviewers. Articles from OUM will be reviewed by reviewers outside Malaysia (by reviewers from any other countries such as Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam or Philippines). Likewise any article from one country will only be reviewed by reviewers outside that country. The external reviewers are appointed by the Editorial-in-Chief from the pool of Editorial Board Members. The Editor-in-Chief may appoint reviewers other than the Editorial Board Members if necessary. The nominated reviewers must review articles based on the given guidelines. Once the review process is completed, the editing process will commence, followed by desktop publishing, proofing of copies and online publishing.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
MANUSCRIPT TEMPLATE AND FORMAT The manuscript must be prepared using the Microsoft Word template in English (UK). The template can be downloaded from the journal website. The number of pages is limited to 10 pages. The font used must be Arial 11 pt. and single spaced. The manuscript must have the following sections: (i) Title, (ii) Name of authors with postal and addresses, (iii) Abstract, (iv) Keywords, (v) Introduction, (vi) Literature Review, (vii) Research Objective, (viii) Methodology, (ix) Findings/Analysis/Argumentation, (viii) Conclusion and (ix) Reference. An acknowledgement section could be added between the conclusion and the reference sections. The references must be cited according to the APA referencing format. All figures (including graphs) and tables must be clearly depicted and labelled. COPYRIGHT AND OPEN ACCESS INITIATIVE Upon the acceptance of the manuscript, the author(s) must sign the copyright transfer form which is an agreement by the author(s) to transfer the copyright of the manuscript to the publisher. Reproduction, posting, transmission or other forms of distribution or use of the published articles as permitted through the Open Access Permission or with written approval from the AJODL requires credit to the AJODL as the copyright holder.
