Operation Log and meter Readings
Why we need to do them
2
By signing in and out of the operation log, the station manager and the program directors know who is on air and for how long they are on air. If there is a problem, we can find who was on air, to find out what happened exactly. What they do.

The FCC requires it by law
The FCC requires it by law. When members of a station neglect to fill it out, the FCC could see that as non-compliance, which is reason to heavily fine the station. It makes the jobs of the station manager, and program directors a lot easier, because they don’t have to figure out who is on air at a given time. It helps them to know who is coming to their shift and who is not. Why do it

The operation log is on the studio door, and there should be a new sheet for every day.
The meter readings are on the bottom of the monitor in the lower right corner of the studio. Where they are

What the meter readings mean
Power Output: The number we get from the #3 position on the readings is in reference to what level of power we are running at. Voltage: How much energy is required to sustain the radio frequency. Amplitude: How much of the energy is reflected. What the meter readings mean
