3 Community Involvement
Sankalp provides a holistic approach to upliftment of the underpriviledged: Ladli Program – Girls child encouragement Megha Barse – Medical Treatments Vidhyarthi Program – Grades 4 – 12 Utility Banks – Clothing, Books, etc.

7 Bus Project Status Bus has been purchased and modifications done
Total expenditure on the bus till date has been Rs 8.25 lacs which includes the cost of the bus, fabrication, accessories and insurance Asha Dallas, WAH 2007 supported $19,590 The team is in the process of being hired a volunteer has been identified to co-ordinate the project Classroom Capacity (Floor seats:18 Bench seats:12) 30 Transportation Capacity 32

Doctor on rolls visits once a week Health checkup records are maintained Scope of “Megha Barse” expanded 4 cardiac surgeries in Treatment of a burns victim Specific correction of eye and dental, orthopedic, cleft lip problems attended to

15 HIGHLIGHTS Executive committee revamped and sub-committees created for micromanagement Mid-day meal made more nutritious-dal-rice 3 times a week, khichdi once a week, kheer once a week 100% power backup for computer lab Sankalp on wheels to be launched soon Started “Sankalp Ladli” program- a scholarship/award incentive program to girls to continue education-thus reducing drop-outs Financial assistance to deserving students pursuing vocational courses at ITI Relief support comprising of clothes, utensil, dal-rice to victims of fire in jhuggis in April 2007
