Took place after Peter’s sermon (Acts 2:41,38) Converts continued to be added to the church (Acts 2:47) Believing in Jesus as the only authoritative name for salvation (Acts 4:12, 2:38) Submitting to Jesus’ Kingship (Acts 2:30-33) “church” is the “called out” – submitting to the Lord’s conditions of salvation – the spiritual kingdom of Christ (Acts 2:38, 41, Col. 1:12-13, Heb. 12:23, 28) The church is in existence after Acts 2 (Acts 5:11, 4:32, 6:1, Acts 8:1, 9:1,31, 11:19,26)

Not first saved and then added to the church (I Cor. 12:13) Not added to the church and then saved (Gal. 3:27)

The Lord has not changed the conditions for salvation in Christ (Acts 2:38, 41, 47) Years later they were still the same (Acts 18:8)

Its worship: How the Lord wants to be worshipped Singing (Eph. 5:19, Col. 3:16) Praying (Acts 2:42, Acts 12:5) Partaking of Lord’s Supper (Acts 20:7) Preaching the Word (Acts 20:7, 2 Tim. 4:2) Giving as prospered (I Cor. 16:1-2)

20 Does Your church… By name, honor God’s ownership or Men?
Worship by singing without instruments of music? Observe the Lord’s Supper weekly? Have a Pastor who oversees his flock, or plurality of elders overseeing the flock of God ?
