The Nurses in Office initiative aims to encourage and support registered nurses running for elected offices.
Start locally— school boards, city councils, and justice of the peace
Grow to the state and national levels
Involve local and statewide leadership
Rely on teamwork with individual engagement

3. We Need Nurses to Run in 2020
To make this goal a reality, we need your help:
Consider running for office
Encourage a coworker to run
Find a nurse in your area to run for office
Volunteer to do research for candidates
Serve on a campaign team
Get voters registered and to the polls
Canvass for or promote a candidate
Spread the word about the initiative

4. TNA is here to help
Tell TNA if you (or a peer) are running for office. If you don’t have anyone to run, you could create an interest group of nurses in your community to find a strong nurse candidate.
TNA will provide candidates with:
Information on running for office
Listing on website
TNA will connect candidates with:
Nurses in the area
Volunteers to perform small tasks
