Calibration Proper lighting is important! Make sure your scanning area is properly illuminated Open up the “Matter and Form Scanner” Click “Calibrate” and follow the on screen directions Once calibration is done, remove the calibration box Intro to 3D Scanning. Zack Borschuk 10/11/16

Scanning Put your object to be scanned on the center of the scanner click “New Scan” Pick “Single Color” or “Multicolor” depending on your object For multicolor scanning, follow the instructions to find the lightest and darkest parts of your object and start scanning Wait until your object is fully scanned and then click Finish Save your scan as a .mcpx project file Clean up your scan and save it again as a .mcpx project Intro to 3D Scanning. Scanning If you need to take a scan from another angle of your object, reposition your object and repeat the instructions on the previous slide Click the “Home” icon, then select “Scan Viewer” and “Open” Choose the scan that is closest to or at the orientation you want the final product Now click “Combine” When it finishes, clean up any remaining bad points, then export the file as an STL Intro to 3D Scanning.
