Pushes electrons in electroscope down into leaves Note: Electroscope still has only 10 Protons and 10 Electrons

5 Induction Ground Electroscope
Electrons move out of electroscope to ground Reason: (like charges repel)

6 Induction Remove Ground from Electroscope Note electroscope has:
10 Protons 4 electrons

7 Induction Remove rod Positively charged ball at top attracts electrons from leaves 10 Protons 4 Electrons

8 Induction Electroscope is now POSITIVELY charged
Therefore, leaves are positively charged and REPEL each other 10 Protons 4 Electrons
