Placement Plan Chart Explanation
The Placement Plan chart visualizes the unfilled demand for a given week, as compared to the plan based on the cars requested by Want Date. The Placement Plan chart is accessible via the “Placement Plan” link on the Active Orders Page. The Placement Plan chart begins with the first unfilled Group and ends with either the current week or the next week. An example is shown below where the current day is Thursday – October 16th (week of 10/13). The first unfilled Group is the week of 10/6 (G ) - Equipment Applied count of 58 is less than the Equipment Requested count of 61. The last unfilled Group is the week of 10/20 (G ), which is the following week. If the current day is Monday or Tuesday, then the last Group displayed is the Current Week. If the current day is Wednesday or greater, then the last Group displayed is the Following Week. Placement Plan Chart Legend 10/6 is first Group 10/20 is last Group 12/31/2018

Placement Plan Chart Explanation
Cars are requested to be placed by Want Date, and customers can view that weekly demand in RER. Weekly demand in RER is categorized by a Group ID. Within each Group ID is the count of cars requested by Want Date. The cars requested by Want Date of a specific week are calculated to get the Group total. Below are screen shots identifying the Group Total and the count by Want Date: 1 1 Note the count of 3 cars still shows for 10/23 from G (Week 10/6). The Unfilled Demand is added to the following 2 weeks increasing the cars still to be placed. 1 1 2 2 Description Want Date Req Calc Plan to Fill Demand The rolling sum of “Current Equipment Requested” is charted as the black line in the bar chart.
