Rule 1 – The Game Number of players Baskets
Each team is required to have 5 players to begin a game The basket that is attacked by a team is the opponents basket. The basket defended is the team’s own basket

Substitute Uniforms Player’s equipment Player’s injury Coaches Duties and powers During playing time a player on the court and entitled to play. A substitute during playing time is on the bench and entitled to play During an interval of play, all members entitled to play are considered as players. A substitute becomes a player when beckoned onto the floor by an official Uniforms – requirements for shirts, shorts and undergarments including information regarding numbers Equipment approved and unapproved for players to wear/use Injured players – when to substitute for injured players Coaches duties – responsibilities for score sheet, standing, designating shooters, calling time outs

Rule 4 – Playing regulations

Overtime period is an extension of the 4th period and is 5 minutes Intervals of play – prior to start of game, between quarters and overtime period Live ball – Jump ball, Free throw, Throw in Dead Ball – Ball enters the basket, official blows whistle, horn sounds to end period Jump ball to start each game. Alternating possession arrow to be used on subsequent held balls and beginning of each quarter. Review jump ball situations and A/P arrow situations. A/P arrow situation hand out. Review when team control begins and ends Review the act of shooting Define timeout and review time out situations Define substitution and review substitution situations
