Pequea Valley Secondary E-Portfolios A collection of artifacts that reflects students’ academic progress, personal development, and future plans. Arlen Mummau, Amy Koberstein, Ed Lapp, Carolyn Pencheff, Alicia Trescavage, and Rebecca Scheuer

What is an E-Portfolio? An E-Portfolio uses electronic technologies to organize audio, video, text, and graphic examples of students’ academic progress, personal development, and future plans

Benefits of an E-Portfolio
Provides a means for students to: Condense, update, and maintain important academic and personal information in a transportable format Collect documents or other items from a course to preserve work and demonstrate understanding Collect general information to be used on a resume or college/scholarship application Maintain video files of sporting events, musical performances, etc. for preservation and presentation Create a chronological record of academic and personal progress

Provides a means for students to: See the connection between curriculum and future career/college plans Develop future plans through guided research and self reflection Maintain a comprehensive secondary record of achievement for use in job interviews, college/scholarship interviews Collect, select, reflect, and connect artifacts and learning to life beyond high school

E-Portfolio mentors meet with students individually. Take Career Cruising Assessments Interest Inventory Skills Inventory Learning Styles Choose 3 Careers Develop SMART Goals Review goals Input extracurricular activities, awards, honors
