First Comes Death, then what?
November 4, 2018

John 14:1-3 “Let not your hearts be troubled. You believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many dwelling places. If it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And as I go I will come again, that where I am, there you may be also.”

Revelation 21:2-5 “I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. And I hear a loud voice from the throne saying, ‘Now the dwelling of God is with men, and he will live with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God...”

Revelation 21:2-5 “He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away. He who is seated on the throne said, ‘I am making everything new.’”

1 Corinthians 2:9 “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, neither has entered into the heart of man the things that God has prepared for those who love him.”

Luke 16:19-31 “There was a rich man who was dressed in purple and fine linen and lived in luxury every day. At his gate was a beggar named Lazarus, covered with sores and longing to eat what fell from the rich man’s table. Even the dogs came and licked his sores…”

Luke 16:19-31 “…The time came when the beggar died and the angels carried him to Abraham’s side. The rich man also died and was buried. In Hell, where he was in torment, he looked up and saw Abraham far away, with Lazarus by his side…”

Luke 16:19-31 “…So he called to him, ‘Father Abraham, have pity on me and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, because I am in agony in this fire.’”…

Luke 16:19-31 “…But Abraham replied, ‘Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, while Lazarus received bad things, but now he is comforted here and you are in agony. And besides all this, between us and you a great chasm has been fixed, so that those who want to go from here to you cannot, nor can anyone cross over from there to us.’…

Luke 16:19-31 “…He answered, ‘Then I beg you, father, send Lazarus to my father’s house, for I have five brothers. Let him warn them, so that they will not also come to this place of torment.’…

Luke 16:19-31 “…Abraham replied, ‘They have Moses (the first 5 books of the Bible) and the Prophets (16 historical books in the Old Testament). Let them listen to them.’ ‘No, father Abraham,’ he said, ‘but if someone from the dead goes to them, they will repent.’ He said to him, ‘If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not be convinced even if someone rises from the dead.”

2 Peter 2:4 “God did not spare angels when they sinned, but sent them to hell putting them in gloomy dungeons.”

2 Corinthians 1:3 “The father of compassion and the God of all comfort who comforts us in all of our troubles.”

2 Peter 3:9 “God is not willing that any should perish but all would come to repentance.”

Matthew 25:41 “Depart from me, you who are cursed into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.”

Matthew 11:29-30 “Come unto me all you who labor and are heavy laden and I will give you rest. Take MY YOKE upon you and learn of me, for I am meek and lowly in heart and you shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is EASY and my burden is LIGHT.”
