6 Classroom Expectations

7 If you learn nothing else today…learn this!

8 Be on Time You are expected to be in your seat with all of your materials ready to start class when the bell rings. If you fail to meet this expectation you will be marked tardy. On your 4th tardy in this class you will receive a detention.

9 Required Materials World Cultures Book/Workbook
Sharpened Pencils (enough) Highlighter Binder

10 Beginning of Class Begin “Warm Up” when you arrive.
Not 2-5 minutes after the bell. Save all teacher questions until teacher is in front of class

11 Electronics When the bell rings ALL electronics need to be put away, that includes ear buds or headphones.

12 Bathrooms Go when you can not when you have to! Emergencies Only

13 Water You can bring water…DO IT!

14 The human body can go 72 hours without water…
The human body can go 72 hours without water….you can last another 61 minutes!

15 If you bring a drink to class it must have a sealable lid.

17 Class Instruction Stay in your seat (except to get tissue).
Don’t speak while someone else is. Raise your hand if you have a question. Be Respectful

18 Work Time Move about the classroom as needed to accomplish assignment related tasks. Work individually, with partners or groups as instructed. Individual work is silent. When working with a partner or group your voice shouldn’t be able to be heard outside of your group.

19 Don’t pack up until we are done.

23 Syllabus Grading Criteria and Categories Late or Missing Work Retakes
70% Assessments 30% Assignments Late or Missing Work All work may be turned in for full credit until the day of the test No late work accepted Retakes MAY be given, if student is working towards reassessment
