1. GLOBE Teacher Workshop in VA
On August 16, 2017 the NASA Langley GLOBE Partnership led two GLOBE Workshops for teachers from Saint Mary Star of the Sea School in Hampton, VA and Our Lady of Mount Carmel School in Newport News, VA.
Seven elementary teachers attended the Elementary GLOBE session, led by trainers Tina Harte and Elizabeth Joyner; focusing on the process of environmental data collection through the development of literacy skills.
Two middle school teachers attended the GLOBE Hydrology Training led by teacher intern, Wanda Hathaway and assisted by Jessica Taylor and Marile Colon-Robles, during which teachers had the opportunity to become trained in a variety of hydrology protocols that they will implement in their classrooms.
