Rules (for the Kardkuro game): Each Sum Value is on the Face of a Sums Card Your Hand’s Digit Cards will be 1 – 9, Wild (no 0) Exactly 2 Digits must be put on the 2-Round PlayMat The Digits can be played in any Order, but Playing Duplicate Digits is Not Allowed What Combination or Single Digit can’t be Played?

The Player with the Lowest Total Score Wins the Game!
One Game Lasts 2 Rounds: The 2-Digit Round requires exactly two Digit cards to complete new Sum Players take turns by playing 1 or 2 Digit cards needed for the Sum Value, or by drawing one more Digit card, or by Performing a Sum Card Action The Round keeps going until one lucky Player plays his/her last Digit card: His/her score is 0, but the others get scores by adding Digits left in hands The 3-Digit Round requires exactly three Digit cards to complete new Sum The Player with the Lowest Total Score Wins the Game and Gets a Prize! (Combo Meal, Burger, Stapler?)

Starting to Play the 2-Digit Round
Coco Dina Barb Eddy Starting to Play the 2-Digit Round Four Players are in this example (2 to 8 people can play) Put the DeckMat on the table Put the Sum card Deck on the DeckMat Dina deals each player a 7 Digit card Hand (clockwise) Put the left-over Digit cards on the DeckMat Put the 2-Round PlayMat in front Eddy (1st player left of the dealer) Turn up the first Sum Card for Eddy’s first turn. Sum Value is 8

It’s Eddy’s Turn – Sum Value is 8
Coco yup Dina ok Barb Eddy It’s Eddy’s Turn – Sum Value is 8 He has a 5 and a 3, so he plays them both to make 8. The other players check to see if he made a valid play. Since the Sum is complete, Move the played Digits cards to the Used Digits Pile, and turn over the next Sum card, 17, for the next player, Barb. The PlayMat can be moved nearer to her, or it can be left in the same place for the whole game.

It’s Barb’s Turn – Sum Value is 17
Coco Dina Barb Eddy It’s Barb’s Turn – Sum Value is 17 She has a 9, but no 8. So she plays only a 9. The other players check to see if she made a valid play. Since the Sum is not complete, It is now Coco’s Turn – Sum Value is still 17. Coco plays his 8 to complete the Sum of 17. His turn is over. Move the played Digits to the Used Digits Pile, and turn over the next Sum card, Pass 2 Cards.

It’s Dina’s Turn – Sum Action is Pass 2 Cards
Coco Dina Barb Eddy It’s Dina’s Turn – Sum Action is Pass 2 Cards Dina can pass 1 Digit to 2 different players or both Digits to the same player. Strategy: Keep someone else from “going out.” Barb has the fewest cards left, so Dina gives her two big 9 Digits. Turn over a new Sum card for the next player. It is now Eddy’s 2nd Turn – His new Sum Value is 3. Eddy plays his 2 and a Wild (for 1)to complete the Sum of 3. His turn is over. Move the played Digits to the Used Digits Pile, and turn over the next Sum card, 4.

It’s Barb’s 2nd Turn – Sum Value is 4
Coco Dina Barb Eddy It’s Barb’s 2nd Turn – Sum Value is 4 Barb doesn’t have either a 1 or a 3 needed to make a Sum of 4. She has to Draw one new Digit card for her hand. She drew a 7 which doesn’t play. Now it’s Coco’s 2nd turn. Coco plays both a 1 and a 3 to finish the Sum. On to Dina! Move the played digits & turn a new Sum: It’s Swap Hands Left. Dina and Eddy (who is on her left) exchange hands. Enough! Let’s get you all playing…

Kardkuro - Summary of Rules
Deal and Play clockwise (2-Round deal 7, 3-Round deal 8) No duplicate Digits (or Wild values) Only 1 Wild card allowed per Sum Value 2-Round: Ignore Sum Values 18 thru 24 3-Round: Ignore Sum Values 3 thru 5 If you play at least 1 valid Digit, don’t draw one If you can’t play any Digits, draw a new Digit card, but if it is playable, play it! If a Sum Value wasn’t completed, the next player tries to complete it. Cancel Sum Value: All players tried to draw a missing Digit and all failed. Turn over a new Sum 2-Round: When a player “goes out,” calculate and record each player’s score. Then shuffle and play the 3-Round. 3:Round: When a player “goes out,” calculate and record scores, then add them together to find the Low Score Game Winner.
