January 17th-20th ELA: We are going to read a nonfiction text titled Morning Meals Around the World. We are going to proofreading our second drafts of our fiction stories. In grammar, our skill for the week is verbs, adverbs, and commas. Vocabulary: Customary: “usual or normal or happening regularly.” Energize: “give energy or strength.” Appetizing: “tasty or good to eat.” Plain: “without anything added or without decoration.” If something is plain, it is simple, not fancy. Plain also means a “large area of flat land.” Differ: “is different.” Refreshing: If something is refreshing, it makes you feel fresh (lively or not tired) and strong again.
