Volcanoes are mountains that form when magma flows up through the earth

3. Magma collects in magma chambers and is then pushed up to the surface by gas bubbles.

4. When the magma erupts, it becomes lava!

5. This lava forms igneous rocks.

6. Volcanoes are caused by tectonic plates

7. Tectonic plates are the pieces that our earth’s surface is made of!

8. These plates are always moving in different directions.

9. When the tectonic plates move, sometimes they can cause a volcano eruption!

10. Tectonic plates can also cause earthquakes.

11. There are 2 types of body waves that come with an earthquake.
