11 Cooperative Programs Conferences
2016 OSHA Construction Safety and Health Conference OSHA Region VI with the University of Texas at Arlington OSHA Education Center, co-hosted the inaugural OSHA Construction Safety and Health Conference in Irving, Texas.  450 conference attendees, with 35 break-out sessions. 2016 OSHA Oil & Gas Safety Conference OSHA Region VI with the University of Texas at Arlington OSHA Education Center, co-hosted the 5th biennial OSHA Oil & Gas Safety Conference in Houston, Texas.  More than 1,000 industry professionals, 90 diverse breakout sessions, and 100 exhibitors.

12 Cooperative Programs Ladder Symposium
March 2, 2017, OSHA Region VI sponsored a free Ladder Symposium – Raise awareness of ladder safety and decrease the number of ladder-related injuries and fatalities. 135 participants from 20 States. Department of Labor Forum March 28, 2017, OSHA, Oklahoma City Area Office, partnered with Francis Tuttle Business & Industry Services, and held a free informational and outreach forum for employers and their representatives. The “one-stop-shop” event brought together a number of Department of Labor agencies, explaining their enforcement responsibilities and how they can help you achieve compliance. 165 attendees in total.

13 Cooperative Programs Trenching Safety Symposium
June 27, 2017, OSHA Region VI, University of Texas at Arlington OSHA Education Center, and National Utility Contractors Association (NUCA) of North Texas, co-sponsored a free Trenching Safety Symposium. Goal: Provide workers with information about requirements and safety procedures for working in trenches and excavations, and reduce the number of fatalities, catastrophes and serious injuries that occur each year in the industry. The symposium featured presentations from OSHA, NUCA, UTA, North Texas Contracting and Pennington Utilities. Over 50 participants in-person and 901 viewers via the internet.
