3. Why is it misleading?
This graph shows annual sales of fast food restaurants
The logos are sized according to the amount of sales
The McDonald’s logo appears much taller and wider than the other logos, indicating a much higher difference in sales
The graph includes the GDP of Afghanistan, which is irrelevant
There are no labels or graph title

4. Why Would They Mislead with this graph?
McDonald’s may have made this graph to attract investors
Since McDonald’s appears to have much higher sales, investors would want to invent their money on a “sure thing”, for a higher return

6. How I changed it…. Added Title and Labels
All columns are the same width
Columns are not disproportionate
Removed the GDP of Afghanistan
