2 Learning Goals Students will be able to explain how towns will transform into cities. Students will be able to explain how the agricultural revolution created a surplus of food and how the industrial revolution changed the world and your town into a city.

3 Questions over project
Looking at your list of items that you were unable to put into your project, answer the following questions. What problems did you face in creating your city? ½ point With the transformation of your town into a city what would have made it easier? ½ point How could you have made your project better? Now with the creation of this project you will need to explain how the agricultural revolution created a surplus of food and how the industrial revolution changed the world and your town into a city. 2 ½ points Poster is worth 1 point for completion and your list of what you could not fit into your poster in each round.

4 Organization of a big City
Now after looking at Google maps of London, New York City, Detroit, Phoenix Arizona, and Davison what things are different and what things are similar? Things that have changed over time: cities begin to use grid lines to organize Example City Blocks In Davison look at M-15 and how the city & township are spaced out in a grid format. The newer cities had the ability to make more roads parallel and perpendicular. This makes navigation easier and the city will be more organized.
