New and Improved: Come see this class in its second incarnation. Students will learn the theory and technique of oral history while undertaking projects of great community interest. This spring we will collect the histories of individuals associated with the shipping industry in the Lake Pontchartrain Basin and the families of governors from the Old Louisiana Governor's Mansion. The Maritime Museum, the Governor’s Mansion, and Southeastern will cooperate to archive the best student projects as contributions to the historical record.
