5 Multimedia Communications Portfolio (MCP) License Keys
Nortel Corporate Presentation Multimedia Communications Portfolio (MCP) License Keys The Keycode Retrieval System (KRS) is used to generate and retrieve license keys to enable proper function of installed software. Each MCP system requires its own License Key(s). The MAC address must be registered before license keys can be requested from KRS for each Core Server Media Application Server (MAS) © 2007 Nortel

7 Access the MCP within KRS
Select “Product Family”= “Multimedia Communication Portfolio” KRS will automatically access the product family selected After a product family has been selected, to change product families, click <Keycode Retrieval> to return to this product Family selection page 1.

8 MCP KRS Left Menu Product Registration – register the MAC address of the Core server and the MAS before license keys can be requested Generate Keycode – generate keycodes using Authorization Codes – numeric or electronic. Refer to “eAuth Code Functionality” training Retrieve Keycode – view and download the current keycode(s) for a site Retrieve History – view and download all keycodes ever made for the site Documentation, Forms & USER GUIDE – links to the KRS documentation repository eAuth Code Management – links to the PO History report and several links to functions for eAuth Code Administrators. 3. 1. 2. Select <Documentation, Forms & USER GUIDES> Select the desired document and right mouse click to save it to your computer Click on <KRS Documentation> for access to the KRS <Release Notes> and <Training> folders

10 Keycode Access Request
When a Partner other than the 'Distributor of Record' needs to download or generate keycodes for an installed system 1. Select <Keycode Access Request> from the left menu in KRS Follow the instructions listed on the page 2.

12 Registering the System
The Product Registration page, is the first page displayed when the MCP product is selected. All New Systems must first be registered. Select <Create> Note: to update a previously registered systems, enter the Site Name or System ID or CLLI and select <Search> 1.

13 Registering the System – Enter Data
Enter the Site Name, CLLI (if applicable) and City, State, Country information where the system will be located. Select <Continue> 1. 2.

14 Registering the System – CORE
Select the server type and provide a MAC address for each server. Select CORE Select <Create> 1. 2.

15 Registering the System - CORE
Enter the MAC address of the first CORE server using the <Add> button Repeat, entering the MAC address for each CORE server until all the CORE servers are added. When finished, select <Continue> 1. 2. 2. 3.

16 Registering the System- MEDIA SERVER
1. Second, select MEDIA SERVER and click <Create>. Repeat the same steps of entering the MAC addresses of the MAS servers using <Add>. Repeat this step for each MAS server in the system. When finished, select <Continue> 2. 3.

Review the summary screen for MAC address accuracy, then select <Save> The registration process will provide a default s/w version value of 1.1 which will change when the keycode licenses are generated. Note: You can edit your system registration information after saving. 1.

18 Retrieving an Existing Registration
If you are unsure if the site has been registered previously” Select <Product Registration> from within “Product Control” menu Enter a Site name or CLLI Select <Search> to retrieve site information Once the site information is retrieved, it can be edited. 1. 2. 3.

20 Generating a Keycode License for a CORE Using a Purchase Order (PO)
One keycode is required for each CORE Select <Generate Keycode> from within the “Product control” menu For System ID, enter a registered MAC address for one of the CORE servers Select <Continue> 1. 2. 3.

The System ID’s (MAC addresses) of all the CORE servers will be displayed in Step 1 Enter one: Avaya Order #(COEO) Customer PO# Alternate/Other Order # Customer ID # Select <Go to PO> 1. 3. 2. If using Paper or Numeric authcodes, they are entered in this section

22 Generating a Keycode License for a CORE Using a Purchase Order (PO)
KRS displays available licenses for keycode selection. Note: only CORE features will be available for selection. Enter a value under “Quantity Taken” for each required License. When finished, select <Continue> 1. 2.

KRS summarizes the license selections. If correct, select <Continue> 1. 2.

KRS provides an option to add more features to the CORE Keycode by entering additional PO’s or numeric or paper auth codes) in order If there are no additional features to add, select <Go to Summary> b. a. 2.

KRS displays a preview of the new keycode for the CORE, with changes highlighted Select <Generate Keycode> to produce the keycode. When the keycode is complete, it wil be automatically diaplsyed on the “Retrieve History” page, where it may be viewed and downloaded 1. 2.
