Individual work Collective work What is Fabricius?
It’s a model of “Practice Based Learning” that balances the individual and collective work. The model is supported by a technical system that allows to manage the whole process of the practice. Research Team Design Josep Mª Monguet Technology Jaime Meza Support Francisca Grimón Alex Trejo

Presentation of Statement and Lecture. Ensure students understands what is going to be done and why. Students begin to work directly with the first to do’s. Students also become familiarized with “Fabricius” methodology. 3. Concept Enhancing and improving ideas Bestidea Individual ideas performance C Collective group dynamics C 4. Idea Production and filtering of ideas*. Ideas are proposed individually and voted collectively (group or class). Process is composed of 4 successive to do’s following the same cycle: 1st Students individually propose ideas. 2nd The group (or class) votes ideas for prioritization. 3th The winning ideas, 1 or more, are inspirations for the next to do. There are always 4 to do’s to propose ideas and 2 modalities of vote: Group Vote: The members of the group vote in to do’s 1, 2 & 3. Class Vote: The members of the class randomly vote in the 4th to do. * The term idea may refer to proposals, data or any kind of information relevant for the current to do. Concept Once the to do’s 1, 2 and 3 have been completed it begins the work with the final deliverable of the 4th to do, that begins with ideas proposed individually by members of the group. Individual contributions to the 4th to do have been voted in the modality “Class Vote” the group is ready to produce a “Concept” by enhancing and improving previous ideas and working ahead proposing and prioritizing new ideas. Now the group will use again Bestidea system to gradually prepare the deliverable. The work may be done synchronous or asynchronous. Individual ideas performance C Collective group dynamics C 4. Individual work Collective work 4. Knowledge The content has been presented* in the lecture during the Takeoff and it’s going to be applied to the practice along the 4 to do’s. Each student is asked to contribute with some original knowledge to the content of the practice. Original knowledge may came in form of: Interesting people that has applied the content object of the practice Products, services or any kind of organization that that highlights the content object of the practice. *The presentation of the content has to follow a specific template. 1.
