An affective state often accompanied by specific physiological characteristics, with the power to impact thoughts and behaviours…
They allow us to survive, feel content and create & sustain relationships with others.

27. 3 Major Components of Emotion
Cognitive component: the mental state, the conscious feeling of being happy, sad, angry or excited
Physical component: the physical characteristics that accompany emotional reactions, such as tensed muscles, increased energy, a pounding heart and changes in body temperature.
Behavioural Component:outward expression of our emotion (body postures, gestures, facial expressions, etc).
