Emergency Response Organization
University Police/Facilities Services/ EH&S provides initial information at the onset of an incident. If response is other than routine, the EOC is activated by the EOC Director for a coordinated campus response and recovery. Policy/Advisory makes policy and strategic decisions on behalf of the campus. EOC Director directs the activation, operations, and deactivation of the EOC and provides incident updates to the Policy/Advisory section so policy decisions could be made on behalf of the campus. Public Information disseminates information to the campus community and media, as applicable, related to campus status and establishes contact with all potential communication points on campus to ensure consistent flow of information and updates (reports to the EOC). EOC Coordination and Support provides initial notification of activation to the EOC Response Team and provides support to the EOC throughout the incident. Operations responds, as applicable, to incident and immediately reports status to EOC Director and PIO (reports to EOC and/or provides ongoing updates to the EOC throughout the incident). Planning gathers information as the incident unfolds and throughout the incident in order to prepare a campus action plan (reports to EOC as instructed). Logistics facilitates and provides for campus needs, as instructed by Planning or EOC Director (reports to EOC as instructed). Finance provides financial resources, makes and tracks purchases , tracks expenses and time, and facilitates expense recovery (reports to EOC as instructed).
