PHASE II CCRS MATH TRAINING
Has your system’s math leadership team been trained on the Explorations’ Guides? Has your math leadership team trained your system’s teachers? In the November webinar we asked each system to designate a math leadership team that would be responsible for attending the training the then ‘turning the training around’ to the teachers in the system. These “Explorations’ Guides” are a set of resources with activities that provide a process for studying the critical areas, vertical connections, and standards for mathematical practice. Resources are available in Grade Bands K-2, 3-5, 6-8, and High School as well as grade-specific. Once a system has been trained, they receive a password to access all the training materials on the CCRS website.

SDE SUPPORT FOR IMPLEMENTATION
System CCRS Implementation Teams Regional Support Teams Quarterly meetings to assess progress with implementation Each system will be asked to develop a CCRS Implementation Team. These team members will have the opportunity to network with other districts about CCRS implementation and receive updates on resources, training, etc. four times during the school year. These network meetings will be held in each of the 11 regional inservice center areas. Team members should be prepared to communicate or turnaround information. Team Members may include central office representatives for math, ELA and other content areas such as social studies, science, etc. and school level representation from the principal and teachers from the same content areas mentioned previously. Regional Support Teams have been developed by the SDE to assist the districts with assessing where they are with implementation and what support they need. The Regional Support Teams will plan with the LEAs for two purposes: 1) to facilitate transition to the CCRS, and 2) to provide differentiated support based on district and school needs…as determined by the data. Quarterly meetings will be held to assess where the systems are with implementation and what support they need
