Morphology Important Features:
Lophophore- Circular structure with tentacles in the mantle cavity used for filter feeding (bryozoans have these as well-they are another lophophorate) Pedicle- Muscular stalk that attaches the brachiopod to something else

Chemosynthetic Environments
Hot Springs (like Yellowstone) They like hot, deep waters with mid-ocean ridges - A.K.A. places with high geothermal gradients Cold seeps of petroleum and gas- this creates a community of invertebrates like brachiopods, clams, tube worms, and crustaceans
