Q8: What other suggestions do you have around continuing education?
Answered 8 Skipped: 35 # Responses Date 1 Over thirty years practice technician does not have to take 30 hours in 3 years continue education.almost nothing to learn from course 6/19/2018 2 An online discussion forum that focuses on troubleshooting for dental lab technology. Whoever uploads a minimum of 10 min online video that answers a question receives 3 credits. Those who download and watches entire video, receives o.5 credit 3 Lectures on basic implants from technician’s perspective; what to do in the lab; step-by-step once receiving impression from dr and also talk about different types of implants for technicians 6/8/2018 4 I think that an access to variety of online dental libraries would give an opportunity to dental technicians to gain more knowledge about the profession 6/7/2018 5 The programs need to be unbiased and balanced- almost all presentations are really just an infomercial for whatever manufacturer is putting on the course and these courses are of little value…technicians don’t take continuing educations seriously if there is no quality to the presentation offered 6 Lively speakers, cannot stand speakers that “drone” on and on. New information or re-group with basics as it is always good to back for a refresher. I find so many just infer that we “know” or remember everything from the basics. Interactive courses that we can ask questions of everyone in the room. How about a problem solving course where there is no real subject? People can either issues in advance or bring them to the course. Can add a quick tips section to help with everyday work. 7 None 8 Always be up to date with new technology courses and info to members
