Basic Synopsis Composed Upon Westminster Bridge was written by William Wordsworth. In the poem the speaker is watching the sunrise over London. The theme of the poem is spurise. The speaker is shocked and amazed by the beauty of the sunrise over the city.

Questions Speakers situation in the octave- Conclusion in sestet-
In the octave the speaker is saying how beautiful the view is and how you would have to be a fool to not stop and look at the beautiful sunrise. Conclusion in sestet- The speaker concludes by thinking about the sleeping city and wishing it could stay that way. He takes one more look before the busy day starts in London.
