Summary Master James is having some problems with money from villages and finding ways to get money for the project. The sandstone finally arrived to work on the curtain wall. The inner core faces of the wall were constructed first. In December construction was halted because low temperatures tended to crack the wet mortar. The workers often took the winter off and went back to england. any workers who did not take a break stayed preparing for the work next spring. In late march workers returned to work , hundreds of workers were sent out to speed up the working progress.
