Autumn Bruno I have had the privilege of having Autumn Bruno in several classes since her 9th grade year. She has made incredible progress and continues to persevere. She completes her work to the best of her ability and always has a kind word for her teachers and peers. Keep up the great work ethic that you have portrayed this year, Autumn.

Madison Neal I am blessed to have taught Madison Neal twice in her high school career--once as a sophomore and now as a senior. Madison is an exemplary student who excels in her studies. She has a strong determination and a consummate work ethic. Most importantly, though, Madison is a sweet person and a kind human being. Each day when she enters class, her positive outlook always shines through. Madison has been an absolute pleasure to teach.

Aleina Vidoli Aleina is an incredible individual. I have been most impressed by her dedication to her writing assignments. She stands out among my students in that she is a recursive and metacognitive writer. She is diligent in perfecting her work, and her tenacity about life is inspiring.

Dr. Ketrina Jordan

Bret Barrett Greatness is simply defined as the ability to believe in yourself. Your confidence has grown and it shows in all you do. I see you delighting in the feeling of self-assurance and appreciation of your own abilities and qualities. The gift is that one day you can say, I did it!

Linda Duong When an P.S.A. about the HOBY Youth Leadership program came on the morning announcements, most students allowed this plea to slip through their minds like dry sand through so many fingers. However, I urged students to re-think this opportunity and to go ahead and write that essay for submission. Well, Linda did. Not only that, but she came to my room two consecutive FAB sessions to work through it. I was impressed, not only with her sedulous nature but also that she seemed to be absorbing my suggestions to improve her writing. A willing mind, hungry to learn, is every teacher's dream. So, whether Linda ultimately earns the right to represent our school as a HOBY scholar/leader, she has already demonstrated that she is becoming the leader she seeks to be.

Charlotte McGinnis Someone once wrote, Earthly Angels do not allow other souls to dim their light; they just keep shining bright as the sun, for this helps other souls to reconnect with their own light and shine brightly, too! Whether you realize it or not, Charlotte, this is what you have done for me and countless others since you entered CHS. I consider my life blessed for having taught you twice, and I am so thankful for your presence daily.

Caleb Peeks Caleb is a young man of few words in class; however, the thoughts he formulates and ultimately shares are golden nuggets of wisdom. His demeanor is one of humility and kindness. I applaud him for these characteristics, but his most defining quality is deep-rooted in his soul. Caleb perseveres. Despite the hurdles he has faced in high school, he is here today completing what he started. He will march across the stage in May of 2018 to receive his diploma. One for which he has paid his dues. More importantly, because it will carry him far in life, Caleb will depart CHS as a young man who grew as a human being in the process of reaching his goal. You, Caleb, are a soldier! Never forget it, and never lose your fight.

Joshua Dorantes Joshua is always ready to work when the bell rings and is a shining example of what a student should be. He comes in with a positive attitude, and demonstrates that handwork truly pays off.
