3. The Alto Puelo Lodge is nestled in the heart of the Chilean Andes, near the town of Segundo Corral and is only accessible by boat or airplane. 5. The Alto Puelo Lodge is constructed of local cipres (cypress) logs, cut and hand fashioned into an attractive structure. It overlooks the Rio Puelo and the Andes Mountains, giving you a view of the many kinds of birds and wildlife as well as trophy trout jumping out of the water. The property includes 2 parcels of 28 and 35 Hectares (70 and 86 acres). On the 28 ha parcel there are 2 lodges, one of 450 m2 built in 2008 and another of 150 m2 built in The Lodge has running water which flows from a mountain spring, as well as electricity generated both by solar panels and a diesel generator.

Alto Puelo Lodge is located in the Andes Mountains of Patagonia. The lodge is six miles from the Argentina/Chile border and sits on the Chilean side of the border. The lodge commands a view of the turquoise blue Rio Puelo. The source of the river Puelo originates from high mountain glaciers along the border on the Argentine side (east), flowing through the Andes Mountains and out to the Pacific Ocean (west).
