Essential Question: Why are formulas important in math and science? We will… determine the lateral area and total surface area of cylinders. I will… solve problems involving the surface area of cylinders.

Vocabulary Surface Area- The total area of the surface of a 3D object.
Lateral Area- The sum of the areas of the faces of a figure. (Not including the bases)
