Often we refer to the Keycode Retrieval System as KRS, so we will say ‘KRS for CS 1000”, to refer to the component of KRS covered in this training.

The eBusiness Tools Landing page provides access to ALL the eBusiness tools, as well as links to a variety of information.
The theatre specific URLs for the eBusiness tools landing page are listed at the top of this slide.
Access the tools – by selecting the tools from the categories across the top of the page. OC is found under the “Orders” category.
The eBusiness Tools Portal pages – are informational web pages about all the eBusiness Tools. There are several links to the eBusiness Tool portal pages from the eBusiness Tools landing page that is shown in this slide. For example, across the middle of the page:
Tools Overview – provides an overview of each tool and who uses them. From this page, you can access detailed pages for each tool from the left menu.
Training – provides the quarterly leader led training schedule, training curriculum and links to all the available webinars and self paced learning materials.
Support – provides the Global support phone numbers as well as a link to the eBusiness Tools support portal page where you will find a downloadable support document that gives you all the information that you need about support
Registering for the eBusiness Tools (at the bottom of the page) – provides step by step instructions about how to register for all of the eBusiness tools, including selecting which eBusiness Tools you require, accessing the tools and PC Requirements.
What’s New (also at the bottom of the page) – highlights new items related to the eBusiness tools.
The Notification Service (also at the bottom of the page) – is a subscription-based service that delivers notices about the e-Business tools including application content updates, release dates and special events. Users not signed up for the Notification service will receive no communications about any of the eBusiness tools.
Useful Information –found in the left menu on the eBusiness Tools Landing page, includes a folder for each eBusiness tool that provides helpful information such as release notes.
To start working with KRS – select <KRS – Keycode Retrieval System> from the drop down menu within the ‘Licenses” category at the top of the eBusiness Tools Landing page, and after entering your Avaya SSO user ID and password, the KRS product family selection page will be displayed.

7. Access the MCP within KRS
Select “Product Family” =
“Multimedia Communication Portfolio”
KRS will automatically access the product family selected
After a product family has been selected, to change product families, click <Keycode Retrieval> to return to this product Family selection page 1.

8. MCP KRS Left Menu
Product Registration – register the MAC address of the Core server and the MAS before license keys can be requested
Generate Keycode – generate keycodes using Authorization Codes – numeric or electronic. Refer to “eAuth Code Functionality” training
Retrieve Keycode – view and download the current keycode(s) for a site
Retrieve History – view and download all keycodes ever made for the site
Documentation, Forms & USER GUIDE – links to the KRS documentation repository
eAuth Code Management – links to the PO History report and several links to functions for eAuth Code Administrators. Refer to “eAuth code Admin” training

Select <Documentation, Forms & USER GUIDES>
Select the desired document and right mouse click to save it to your computer
Click on <KRS Documentation> for access to the KRS <Release Notes> and <Training> folders
The KRS documentation repository contains many forms, communications and User Guides for KRS for each specific product family in KRS.
To view all the folders, select the <Documentation, Forms and USER GUIDES> link in the left menu of KRS
This opens a folder structure containing all the forms available for downloading. These are the same folders displayed when KRS is selected from ”Useful Information”.
Open the desired folder by double clicking, select the form you would like and save it to your computer by right clicking your mouse.
Click on <KRS Documentation>, as shown by #3 on the slide, for access to the <Release Notes> and <Training> folders

10. Keycode Access Request
When a Partner other than the 'Distributor of Record' needs to download or generate keycodes for an installed system 1.
Select <Keycode Access Request> from the left menu in KRS
Follow the instructions listed on the page 2.
When a keycode is created, the Partner account associated with the purchase order (e.g. for CS 1000/Meridian1) or the user profile (e.g. for BCM) that is used to create the keycode is stored by KRS. This Partner account becomes the 'Distributor of Record' for the current keycode.
KRS will only permit users who are registered to the same Distributor of Record partner account to retrieve keycodes.
If a Partner other than the 'Distributor of Record' needs to download or generate keycodes for an installed system, then they need to request a 'Distributor of Record' change in order to gain access to the Site/System ID on KRS. This change process allows Partners to be proactive with future keycode installations and will alleviate emergency support requests for keycode downloads or generations due to incorrect distributor of record data in KRS. The 'Keycode Access Request' process is used to make the change.
Please note that this process does not affect service contracts. For service contract discrepancies, contact the contracts noted on the page.
1. Users may submit a Keycode Access Request by contacting Avaya Global Support Please submit one ticket per system/site id.
2. Select 'Report an Incident'
Select 'Service Family' <Corporate Applications>
Select 'Service' <Keycode Retrieval (KRS) - Service>
Provide the following information for your case:
- Partner Name
- Site/System ID
- Reason for Change
NOTE: Please allow up to 2 business days for the request to be processed.

12. Registering the System
The Product Registration page, is the first page displayed when the MCP product is selected
All New Systems must first be registered
Select <Create>
Note: To update a previously registered systems, enter the Site Name or System ID or CLLI and select <Search> 1.

13. Registering the System – Enter Data
Enter the Site Name, CLLI (if applicable) and City, State, Country information where the system will be located
Select <Continue> 1. 2.

14. Registering the System – CORE
Select the server type and provide a MAC address for each server
Select CORE
Select <Create> 1. 2.

15. Registering the System - CORE
Enter the MAC address of the first CORE server using the <Add> button
Repeat, entering the MAC address for each CORE server until all the CORE servers are added
When finished, select <Continue> 1. 2. 2. 3.

16. Registering the System- MEDIA SERVER1.
Second, select MEDIA SERVER and click <Create>
Repeat the same steps of entering the MAC addresses of the MAS servers using <Add>. Repeat this step for each MAS server in the system.
When finished, select <Continue> 2. 3.

17. Registering the System - MEDIA SERVER
Review the summary screen for MAC address accuracy, then select <Save>
The registration process will provide a default s/w version value of 1.1 which will change when the keycode licenses are generated
Note: You can edit your system registration information after saving 1.

18. Retrieving an Existing Registration
If you are unsure if the site has been registered previously”
Select <Product Registration> from within “Product Control” menu
Enter a Site name or CLLI
Select <Search> to retrieve site information
Once the site information is retrieved, it can be edited 1. 2. 3.

20. Generating a Keycode License for a CORE Using a Purchase Order (PO)
One keycode is required for each CORE
Select <Generate Keycode> from within the “Product control” menu
For System ID, enter a registered MAC address for one of the CORE servers
Select <Continue> 1. 2. 3.

The System ID’s (MAC addresses) of all the CORE servers will be displayed in Step 1

If using Paper or Numeric authcodes, they are entered in this section

22. Generating a Keycode License for a CORE Using a Purchase Order (PO)
KRS displays available licenses for keycode selection
Note: only CORE features will be available for selection
Enter a value under “Quantity Taken” for each required License
When finished, select <Continue> 1. 2.
